The right education changes what a person believes is possible
Developing people is a genuine passion of mine. It is how I contribute to success that lasts. My work with Credo Business College is central to that.
"Education is not just about knowledge. It is about expanding what a person believes they are capable of. That belief is where lasting success begins."
Barend van den Berg, CA(SA), CEO of Credo Business CollegeEducation as a contribution to success that outlasts any single engagement
Most of what I do works at the level of the business or the leader. Education works at a deeper level. The right programme changes what a person believes is possible for themselves. That change persists long after any coaching engagement or consulting project has ended.
I became CEO of Credo Business College in 2023 because I believe in what accredited business education can do for people who are serious about building something meaningful. Credo offers programmes that are practical, commercially grounded and designed for working professionals who cannot step away from their businesses to study.
My involvement with Credo is not purely operational. It is personal. The connection between education and commercial success is something I have seen proven repeatedly throughout my career. Giving people access to that connection, through rigorous, relevant and accredited programmes, is the kind of contribution I want to be making.

CEO since 2023, with a mandate to build something that matters
I took on the CEO role at Credo Business College in 2023. The mandate was to build an institution that takes accredited business education seriously, that holds itself to a high standard of commercial relevance, and that serves the kind of professional who has outgrown informal development but cannot step away from their business to study full time.
My CA(SA) background informs everything about how I approach that mandate. Rigour, accountability, measurable outcomes and honest assessment of what is working. Credo is not a side project. It is a serious commitment to what education can do when it is done properly.
If you are interested in what Credo Business College offers, whether for yourself, your leadership team or your organisation, the best starting point is a conversation about what you are trying to achieve and whether we have a programme that fits.
